Attendance: Robin Murphy, Tammy Pengelly, Debbie Berry, Rachel Read, Christa Thompson, Lorene Jones.

  • There is not yet a membership list for 2026 as Debbie does not have the current member applications.

• Secretary’s Report

  • Minutes from April General meeting read by Rachel. Minutes accepted as read. Motioned by Tammy, Seconded by Tammy.

  • No Correspondence

• Treasurer’s Report

  • General Account

    • Savings: $5,966.15

    • Checking: $6,086.20

      • Expenses: $50 for Oregon Tax, $81.17 for the Annual Banquet, $72.36 for printing.

      • Deposits: $.05 in misc interest.

  • Specialty Account

    • Savings: $3,368.42

    • Checking: $7,385.02

      • $3,055.97 was gross income from the Specialty, for a loss of about $2,700.

      • Deposits were $1,312.97 from Onofrio and $431 from the Auction and Raffles, for a total net income of $1,743.97.

    • PayPal is still withholding about $4,000 until 120 days are up.

  • Lorene motioned to approve the Treasurer’s Report, Rachel seconded.

• Old Business

  • CCA Committee (Rachel)

    • Our evaluators are Denise Reel, Debbie Berry and Donna Ernst.

    • The CCA will be on November 28, 2026.

    • We will need several volunteers for the day of the show.

  • We need to establish who wants to remain in their various positions within the club. There aren’t many people here so we will be tabling until June.

  • Breeder Education

    • Rachel will be taking over the Breeder education from Debbie.

  • Puppy Referral (Rachel)

    • Has not received any contacts this month.

  • Member/Public Education (Dawn)

    • N/A

  • Website (Rachel)

    • Discussed the metrics from the last 30 days

  • Facebook Group (Christa)

    • Removed users who are no longer members of the club.

  • Public Facebook Page (Lorene)

    • Discussed latest metrics.

    • Rachel brought up creating a YouTube account for the Club in order to go live at our Specialties. Facebook only saves lives for 30 days unless they are downloaded. The club already has a Google account since there is a club Gmail. It doesn’t cost any extra, and this way attendees or spectators may go back and watch the lives.  We can promote and share the link to our YouTube account from Facebook.

      • Lorene made a motion for Rachel to create the YouTube account. Debbie seconded.

  • Hospitality (Tammy/Jeanie)

    • N/A

  • Awards (Debbie/Christa)

    • Debbie is going to assist in a support capacity. Christa is going to continue heading up the awards, but needs a co-chair. We are going to table this until June.

• New Business

  • 2027 Specialty

    • Robin is willing to be the show chair unless she gets a puppy, in which case she wants to be able to show in Sweeps and the regular classes. Robin may be able to be the Obedience chair. Perhaps talk to Karen about being Show and Sweeps Chair?

    • Tammy is going to chair hospitality again this year, we will confirm availability with Jeanie next month.

    • Rachel will lead the decorations committee.

    • Christa will still do ribbons but is going to step back from trophies. Is willing to help the next person with them.

      • It would be a huge help to have sponsors for trophies. Options were discussed such as:

        • Asking winners to sponsor that trophy for next year

        • Once we figure out our online payment system, setting up a SignUp genius and promoting that via Facebook. 

    • Debbie is going to provide a list of judges to the Chintimini KC.

    • Kelli and Alice have said they were already planning the Raffle for next year. We will confirm at the next meeting.

  • Chintimini KC Clinics

    • We need to find a cardiologist willing to come to Albany for our clinic, as Dr Wallace can’t travel more than an hour from her practice in Vancouver due to not having a second cardiologist. There was a rumor Dr Wallace hired someone already, Christa is going to reach out to Dr Wallace to confirm. If not, she will check with OSU to see if they’d be willing to send someone out.

  • Online Payments

    • We are not going back to PayPal. SignUp genius does have a preferred third party. Perhaps Zelle? Rachel is going to look into that, as well as the paid plans on SignUp Genius.
