Committee Reports
CCA Committee (Rachel/Debbie/Bridgett)
Rachel contacted Karen Burgess with the Greater Clark County Kennel Club and got the approval to do the CCA with their show, and at no charge.
We need 3 evaluators, at least two of which need to be category 1, meaning they need to be licensed AKC judges. The third evaluator can be a category 2, which is an approved breeder.
Debbie volunteered to be the category 2 evaluator, and discussed asking Denise Reel to be one of our evaluators. We still need to decide on a third.
The club is responsible for the transportation, accommodation, and feeding of the evaluators for the event.
Breeder Education (Debbie)
We are going to do a Breeder Education event on February 28th at 1:00PM at Denny’s. Topic is undecided.
Puppy Referral (Susan)
No contacts. It seems like people are contacting the breeders on our list directly.
Member/Public Education
Meet the Breeds at Rose City had a great turnout. A lot of people were asking about Golden colors, we were able to pass out a few of the flyers discussing the various shades of Gold. There were a handful of people who asked about doodles, Rachel suggested that next year we include the GRCA’s statement on doodles as part of the handouts we provide.
Website (Rachel)
Discussed the latest metrics.
Public Facebook Page (Lorene)
There were 3133 views and 265 interactions over the last month.
Awards
Members who were awarded trophies last year need to bring them to Christa by the March meeting so she can start having them engraved.
Debbie discussed the memory plaques.
2026 Specialty
Show Chair (Robin)
Robin made the final edits to the Premium and sent to Onofrio, reached out about whether we are missing anything, has yet to hear anything.
We are going to play both the American and Canadian National Anthems. Karen will bring a speaker. Robin will bring the Flag.
Obedience Chair (Karen/Robin)
Robin offered to provide meals for the judges, and is sharing a hotel room with Kari Schlect.
Sweepstakes (Debbie)
Needs to order the stuffies for the placements, other than that everything is good to go.
Hospitality (Tammy/Jeanie)
Tammy reached out to Jackapetti’s and found out that both wraps and sandwiches are $11.75. Sandwiches are Ham and Turkey, wraps are Chicken, Bacon, Ranch. Discussed asking volunteers for their preferences, it was decided that it would be easiest for all the meals to be the same. Everybody prefers the wraps. They will do a head count at the March meeting to give to Jackapetti’s.
Decorations (Rachel)
Everything is coming along. Rachel has another commitment in the evening the day of the specialty and needs to leave at 5PM.
Raffle (Alice & Kelli)
They have purchased enough baskets to cover this year and next year’s raffles, but need to increase the budget by $50 in order to acquire cellophane to wrap this year’s baskets.
Robin motioned to approve an additional $50 to Alice and Kelli’s budget to finish up the raffle baskets. Bridgett seconded.
Trophies & Ribbons (Christa)
Ribbons are being worked on and will be finished by the Specialty.
Judges (Debbie)
We have Sidney Marx judging the regular classes, Amy Rosling judging Sweeps.
Is working on finding out whether Amy is driving to the specialty.
Chintimini KC Eye/Heart Clinics (Christa/Kelli)
Everything is set to go for the clinic itself.
Jeanie set up Paypal, needed to contact PayPal to unfreeze the account after a snafu with a payment received. This has been taken care of.
We will need to provide instructions for customers as they will need to book via SignUp Genius, then submit their payment via PayPal.
Customers need to add a memo to their payment with their name, their dog’s name and breed, and the transaction ID from the payment.
Payment needs to be made in full within 24 hours of the appointments being made.
Appointments will be taken until March 31st.
No Refunds, no walk-ins for Echos.
We discussed allowing payments being made via PayPal on the day-of for auscultations but ultimately decided it would potentially stop up the flow of customers so it is better (at least for our first time) to not do that.
We made an executive decision to raise the cost of the Echos to $375 and Ausculations to $68 in order to cover PayPal’s 3% fee. The cost of eye exams remained unchanged, and are cash or check only.
We need to bring highlighters to keep track of completed appointments.
Tammy will bring highlighters.
New Business
Nominating Committee (Bridgett/Kelly)
The current officers have been reached out to regarding being on the slate to continue in their current role.
The slate will be read at the February meeting, and we will take votes from the floor in March.

Read the slate for 2026 officer nominees.
Robin moved to adjourn at 8:21PM, Susan seconded. Motion passed unanimously.
