Secretary’s Report

• Minutes from May meeting read by Rachel, minutes accepted as amended. (Motion: Tammy/Second: Bridgett)

• Correspondence: GRCA reached out about us purchasing a banner for the national, those are expensive. As an alternative, let’s put together a raffle basket to send with Jeanie. Jeanie will be leaving right after the August meeting so any donations will need to be provided to her by the July meeting, but August at the absolute latest. Motion to provide Jeanie with a $100 budget to assemble a PNW basket for the national. (Motion: Tammy/ Second: Jim)

Treasurer’s Report

• General Account: $14,507.53

• Specialty Account: $10,468.49

  • Transfer of $3,320 from Specialty to General as it had originally been deposited into the wrong account. (Rachel/Tammy)

• Breeder Education (Debbie)

  • Debbie not present; Tammy says that the Millersburg park is unavailable until September, and that the TimberLinn park costs $400 for an Albany resident to rent. Discussed holding the grooming lesson at her house, possibly in September, since July is not going to work. We will table this until the next meeting.

• Puppy Referral (Rachel)

• Member/Public Education (Christa/Dawn)

  • Christa would like to step down from this job, we need a new chair. Rachel offered to co-chair with someone but doesn’t feel comfortable taking it all on.

  • Discussed the future of Meet the Breeds, Rose City Classic is getting expensive and inconvenient. Discuss doing Meet the Breeds at the Clackamas KC show.

• Website (Rachel)

  • Discussed latest traffic metrics for website. Alice has not yet been added as an admin but that will be done asap.

• Facebook Group (Christa/Kelli)

• Hospitality (Jeanie/Tammy)

  • N/A

• Awards (Debbie/Christa)

  • We need to replace the Perpetual Golden Ambassador trophy.

• 2026 Specialty

  • We need chairs for sweeps, show, and obedience. Jeanie and Tammy will do hospitality, Debbie is supposed to submit a list of judges to Chintimini. Christa is handling trophies - Christa discussed what she is planning for trophies for the next couple of specialties

  • Kelli and Alice are working together to start collecting donations for raffle baskets. Kelli asked for a budget of $100 to purchase some baskets to get ahead of the game. Motion: Jeanie; Second: Rachel.

• CKC June Eye Clinic (Jeanie)

  • Discussed the plans for the clinic on Saturday - Volunteers for the day are Jeanie, Tammy, Rachel, Jim & Bridgett, Dawn & Doug, and Debbie. Tammy is bringing the signs and blue tape, Rachel is bringing fans and an extension cord, the Highleys are bringing cardboard to cover the windows and blue tape.
