  • Tim Murphy (Robin’s husband) is dealing with some serious health issues, we should send a card from the club.

  • Voted on Karen Millikan’s membership - unanimously approved by the club.

• Secretary’s Report

  • August minutes read by Rachel, approved as read. (Debbie/Bridgett)

    • Breeder Education (Debbie)

      • We will be looking at how to groom a Golden as well as structure after the adjournment of the meeting.

    • Puppy Referral (Rachel/Susan)

      • No contacts

      • Christa let us know about a potential puppy buyer by the name of Dharm Raj, with whom she had a negative experience with in person, and it came out that they had reached out to several breeders at the same time in the PNW.

    • Public Education (Dawn)

      • Is going to reach out to the Rose City Classic in November, otherwise no updates.

    • Website (Rachel/Alice)

      • Discussed latest metrics

      • Add photos of the award winners to the Awards web page

      • Make the Specialty available to the public. There is a button that  will eventually be linked to a list of trophies people can sponsor.

      • Look into accepting online payments for trophy sponsorships and heart clinic.

      • Needs to send an email to Jessica, we are going to rent the coffee pots from Linn County KC as they’re only asking $20 each. We are likely going to return to Jackapetti’s for volunteer lunches, is going to ask about wraps instead of sub sandwiches. Price will likely be around $14/head this year.

    • Trophies & Ribbons (Christa)

      • We are on the list for the ribbon maker, trophies are being made. Christa is going to ask the club for 50% reimbursement on materials for the trophies.

    • Judges (Debbie)

      • There are no acceptable judges on Chintimini’s list. Debbie is going to filter her list to anyone west of the Rockies, will go over the list with Christa and put a poll on Facebook.

  • Chintimini KC Eye Clinic & Heart Clinic (Christa)

    • Is going to email Sarah about the eye clinic. Talked to Dr Gabrielle Wallace about the Heart Clinic which she is willing to do on the following conditions:

      • Minimum of 15 appointments. If the minimum is not met the Dr will not come.

      • Must take deposits.

    • We are going to look into getting paypal or something so people can pay online. No refunds for the Heart Clinic.

    • Dr Wallace charges $50 for Auscultations and $250 for Echos at clinics, the club could charge $65 and $300-$325 respectively.

    • We need to start posting and gathering interest ASAP.

    • Let Chintimini KC know we will need two rooms on April 4th, 2026.

    • Customers need to fill out the cardiac forms ahead of time.

    • Christa needs a co-chair for the clinic, is going to ask Lorene.
